BSG Financial Group expands role of relationship development officer Andrew Smith

Company Promotes Seasoned Financial Industry Sales Veteran to Help Expand its Footprint in Southeast U.S.

LOUISVILLE, KY (January 3, 2018) — BSG Financial Group, a provider of revenue-enhancement programs and compliance solutions for financial institutions nationwide, announced today the promotion of Andrew (Andy) Smith to Senior Vice President, Business Development effective immediately in order to expand the company’s presence in the Southeast U.S.

Smith joined the company in July 2015 as Relationship Development Officer, responsible for outbound sales prospecting for the entire business development team. His efforts generated numerous new clients for the company in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma, as well solidified a significant number of strategic partner relationships.

In his new role, Smith will continue his direct marketing efforts, while also focusing on generating new business in the southeastern states of Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. As such, he will represent BSG Financial Group at industry trade shows and events; participate in on-site presentations of the company’s solutions; and be an integral part of the company’s overall lead-generation efforts through state banking and credit union associations.

Prior to joining BSG Financial Group, Smith worked for Venminder by Digital Compliance headquartered in Elizabethtown, Ky., selling a suite of software and services to solve vendor management deficiencies for financial institutions. Before that, he was sales executive for TriNova, Inc. in Birmingham, Al., where he sold bank compliance and risk solutions. Smith has also worked for Metavante Corporation as a Regional Sales Executive, where he built and managed the community bank division/region for the bank core processing company.
