Call Federal to open new type of branch in Chesterfield County

RICHMOND, VA (May 27, 2015) — Call Federal Credit Union will open its first retail branch in Hancock Village, a shopping center located in Chesterfield County on Hull Street Road at Winterpock Road.

The new branch will accommodate all of its members’ transactional needs, from deposits to withdrawals, but according to Call Federal CEO & President, Roger Ball, the larger goal of the Hancock Village branch is to service member needs on a more in-depth scale.

“This new branch will be designed to allow us to have valuable one-on-one time with our members,” says Ball. “We want to take a look at the whole picture and be able to work with our members and future members to build their families’ financial health with products, services, and guidance that will save them money and empower them to become financially independent.”

Call Federal plans to host frequent educational seminars at the new branch that will cover topics like mortgages, saving for college, building credit, and preparing for retirement. The credit union will also open the branch to community groups to use for meetings and events.

Call Federal currently has four branches open to the public, one each in Richmond, Chesterfield, Hanover, and Henrico. Call Federal plans to open its Hancock Village branch in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Call Federal membership is open to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in the Metro Richmond area, which includes 16 counties and the cities of Richmond, Colonial Heights, Hopewell and Petersburg. Founded in Richmond in 1962, Call Federal has nearly 30,000 members and has a 5-star superior rating from Bauer Financial, an independent firm which rates banks’ and credit unions’ financial health.
