Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union kicks off convenience campaign

COLUMBIA, SC (January 2, 2014) —  Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union kicked off a campaign today centering on the many convenient products offered to members. Banking In Your Boxers puts a humorous touch to the ease of using many credit union services from the comfort of home or “anywhere else that pants are optional.”  Carolina Collegiate provides mobile apps, remote deposit capture, 24-hour loan service by phone or internet plus shared branching, co-op ATMs and more for members.

“We find many consumers are attached to their banks because of the notion that credit unions are small and inconvenient” said Anne Shivers, CEO of Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union. “This is an opportunity for us to educate consumers that Carolina Collegiate offers many of the same conveniences the big banks offer, with the personal approach that most credit unions are known for” Shivers said.

The campaign is running locally on traditional radio, Pandora internet radio, and via the internet through social media. All ads direct members to a microsite dedicated to this promotion at www.bankinginyourboxers.com.  It easily highlights the many convenient products and services the credit union offers.

Created by the credit union consulting firm Your Marketing Co, the goal of the campaign is to not only educate consumers and entice them to join the credit union, but to inform current members about the many conveniences they have access to but may not be aware of.

Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative open to staff, students, and faculty of the University of South Carolina and several other groups and universities. Founded in 1967 by employees of the University of South Carolina, today the credit union has over 15,000 members and assets of over $88 million.
