The third annual CCCU and CUES International Convention will be held June 21-24, 2014, at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas, to give industry leaders the opportunity to network with a worldwide community of colleagues.

New this year, applied learning workshops will follow general sessions, giving attendees the chance to immediately apply what they’ve learned to their everyday situations. Content will focus on ways to:

– Learn the ingredients of great innovations, whether products, services, member experiences or business models

– Utilize practical tools that anyone can use to leapfrog to their next big thing

– Leverage the competitive advantage of cooperatives

– Build up the international credit union movement and communicate its value

Featured speakers include Soren Kaplan, bestselling author of Leapfrogging, who will explore the ways credit union leaders can reinvent business models, and Richard Powers, National Academic Director, Directors Education Program and Governance Essentials Program, Rotman School of Management, and lead faculty member of CUES Governance Leadership Institute, speaking on improving decision making and consensus building.

“CCCU has affiliates in 17 countries, and CUES represents approximately 600 members who live in 16 countries other than the U.S. Attendees of CCCU and CUES International Convention will truly get a world-wide experience, and have the unique opportunity to network with credit union leaders from around the globe,” said John Pembroke, CUES SVP/chief operating officer.
