Celebrate “Food Freebies Weekend” With Giveaways from 7-Eleven, Chick-fil-A, Baskin Robbins and More

In their new article, premier personal finance website, GoBankingRates.com, tracks down food deals going on this week and weekend as part of Slurpee Day, Cow Appreciation Day, National French Fry Day, Ice Cream Month and other seasonal celebrations.

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 11, 2013) — There are a several food deals taking place this weekend, finds GoBankingRates.com; and thank heaven for that, because summer is arguably the most expensive time of year.

GoBankingRates.com has coined this weekend “Food Freebies Weekend,” starting on Thursday, July 11 with 7-Eleven’s Slurpee Day, followed by National Cow Appreciation Day on July 12, and National French Fry Day on the July 13. Additionally, National Ice Cream Month is taking place throughout July.

In the spirit of these foodie festivities, GoBankingRates.com has released a list of participating restaurants. Below is a preview highlighting a few eateries ready to quench cravings:

7-Eleven: Slurpee Day is today, Thursday, July 11 and will be occurring at all 7-Eleven locations. Not only will this giveaway provide a cool treat, but the company is increasing its promotional cup size this year from 7.11 ounces to 12 ounces, a 42% increase in size.

Chick-fil-A: To celebrate another July holiday, Cow Appreciation Day, Chick-fil-A is granting customers a free meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who comes in fully dressed as a cow on July 12.

Baskin-Robbins: In celebration of National Ice Cream Month, Baskin-Robbins is offering a freshly baked waffle cone on the house with the purchase of a double scoop. No coupon necessary. Deal expires August 31, 2013.

Norma’s Café: Following through with National French Fry Day, Texas restaurant chain, Norma’s Café, was the only diner confirmed to be promoting a deal, by GoBankingRates. The eatery will be handing out hand out bottles of its “Really Fancy Cafe Catsup” with any order of fries.

Establishments like McDonald’s,  Arby’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, Red Robin and others that have historically offered free French fries to celebrate National French Fry Day in years past. GoBankingRates urges deal-seekers to ask their local franchise if they are participating.
