Chris Wardrip receives Professional Achievement Award

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 8, 2013) — Chris Wardrip, CEO of Financial Health Federal Credit Union in Indianapolis, is the Indiana Credit Union League’s 2013 recipient of the Professional Achievement Award. The presentation was made at the Chairman’s Awards Banquet at the JW Marriott Hotel on Sept. 27 as part of a special event during the League’s statewide convention.

With Wardrip’s leadership, the credit union has reached out to lower-income individuals, and has developed products and services to serve the specific needs of this group. He has become very active in many community development efforts including establishing an Individual Development Account (IDA) program, participating in Bank on Indy, Indy’s Campaign for Financial Fitness and other programs that target those in need of extra attention to their finances.

In addition to his work at the credit union, Wardrip is Treasurer of the Board of Pogue’s Run Grocer, a local food co-op on the near east side of Indianapolis. He is also a member of the East 10th Street Civic Association advisory group, the East 10th Street Merchants’ Association, and he serves on the Indy Rezone Task Force. Additionally, he is a member of the Indiana Credit Union League’s Examination Advisory Group.

The Professional Achievement Award recipient is chosen each year from nominees from around the state. Individuals are nominated for their professional accomplishments, their commitment to the credit union movement and the contributions they make to their credit union and community.
