Clearview Federal Credit Union raises $10,000 for local charities

“Tee it Up for Charity” contest coincides with annual golf outing

(clearviewfcu.org) Clearview Federal Credit Union hosted their 35th annual golf outing featuring the “Tee It Up for Charity” contest, helping to benefit Pittsburgh area nonprofit organizations. The contest asked for a one-minute video submission by various charities featuring a heartfelt description of their mission. The top 10 videos were voted on virtually by Clearview members and the public over a 10-day period.

The 2-day golf outing was held at Beaver Valley Golf Club, and netted a total of $10,000, of which $5,000 will support of Alina’s Light, the winner of the “Tee It Up for Charity” contest, as well as the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, one of Clearview’s charitable partners.

Checks were presented on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the golf outing. Alina’s Light board president, Yan Sheykhet accepted the donation on behalf of the organization. Brian Gulish, VP of Marketing and Communications, accepted on behalf of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

“We are so happy we were able to safely hold our 35th annual golf outing this year. I am pleased we are able to continue to support our communities with the proceeds from this outing,” said Ron Celaschi, President and CEO of Clearview.
