Community Resource’s Haunted House Raises Money for Charity

(Latham) – On Saturday, October 20, Community Resource’s employees held a haunted house to benefit the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless.  This year’s theme was a haunted asylum and featured a lobotomy session, an electroshock therapy room complete with a custom-built electric chair and a solitary confinement cell. The employees write the script, assign roles, design the rooms, build the props, perform in the haunted house and bake the refreshments.

“The haunted house raises money for our Employee Charity Fund but it also is a great team building event. We work together to build something that’s creative and fun and in the process we learn more about each other,” said Wendy Meola, Director of Marketing.

The employees raised $500 for their charities that will be distributed at year-end along with other money they’ve raised throughout the year.
