Connexus Credit Union: Presenting Sponsor 2013 Relay For Life of Wausau

WAUSAU, WI (June 4, 2013) Connexus Credit Union is honored to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2013 Relay For Life of Wausau, an annual event to create awareness, share hope, and raise money for the American Cancer Society. 

This year’s event, held at John Muir Middle School, will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, June 7 and run through    8 a.m. Saturday, June 8.  A complete schedule of events can be found at www.relayforlife.org/wausauwi.

In addition to being the Presenting Sponsor, Connexus is also proud to have a team – comprised of over 30 employees and family members – at this year’s event.  Last year, Connexus had the top fundraising team and is on target to meet their 2013 goal to raise $16,000 for the fight against cancer.

Connexus has been involved with the Relay For Life of Wausau since the event’s first year.  According to Karry Salber, Relay For Life Team Co-Captain, “The credit union philosophy is ‘people helping people,’ and what better way to give back than by supporting such a great cause.  In addition, since Connexus’ membership is nationwide, raising money for the American Cancer Society means that we’re supporting an organization that helps people all over the country.”
