Consumers Credit Union welcomes Melissa Swetz as a mortgage loan officer in the Kalamazoo market
KALAMAZOO, MI (February 11, 2021) —
Consumers Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Melissa Swetz as a mortgage loan officer in the Kalamazoo market, specifically at the Downtown office.
As a former realtor and experienced loan officer assistant, Swetz is an expert on both the homebuying journey from the buyer’s perspective and how to efficiently manage the process on the backend.
“I’ve been in sales my whole life,” said Swetz. “Building relationships is natural. I’m an effective communicator and a large part of my job has been to get people and documents moving in the right direction at the right time.
She joins a group of two dozen mortgage lenders at the credit union, which grew mortgage originations in 2020 to an all-time high of over $500 million. The record growth was accompanied by fast service, too, as nearly all loans originated at Consumers were cleared to close under 30 days through the credit union’s #FastApp Mortgage application.
