County Schools Federal Credit Union appoints Hector Martin as President/CEO

VENTURA, CA (April 21, 2023) — The Board of Directors of County Schools Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Hector Martin as the credit union’s new President/Chief Executive Officer.

“We are extremely pleased that after the diligence of a nationwide search, County Schools Federal Credit Union has found its new Chief Executive Officer here in our own backyard,” said Stan Mantooth, Board Chair. “Hector Martin is a local Ventura County resident, a former employee, and was the unanimous choice of CSFCU’s Board of Directors to continue the growth of our organization and preserve our culture of member service and satisfaction.”

It is apparent that the team at CSFCU has done an exceptional job serving its members and the community of Ventura County. Martin is a highly motivated leader with broad-based knowledge in credit unions, specializing in small to mid-sized credit unions. Martin has over 13 years of experience in the credit union industry. He is passionate about credit unions, professional development, and helping others. During his time at County Schools FCU, he served as the Vice President of Retail Services. In his most recent role, he served as the AVP of Lending at CBC Federal Credit Union.

Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach, and is also a graduate of the Western CUNA Management School. He was the recipient of the Tomorrow’s Star Award in 2021, awarded by the California Credit Union League. He currently serves as an associate board member of the Richard Miles Johnson Foundation and is the Founder/Chairman of the Emerging Credit Union Leaders Council (CA).
