Credit Union Certified Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designations awarded

MADISON, WI (July 15, 2015) — 16 credit union financial professionals earned the Credit Union Certified Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation at CUNA Certified Financial Counselor School: Part 2, held June 22-25, 2015 in Madison.

“The CCUFC designation prepares you for the many financial counseling obstacles you may encounter with a member. The CUNA Credit Union Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) teaches you the tools needed to help your members who are in crisis and educate them on how to avoid a crisis,” says new designee Katie Karls, CCUFC, CUDE Branch Manager-Mortgage Specialist at Premier Financial CU.

This year’s designees earned the certification by completing Parts 1 and 2 of the FiCEP and passing the corresponding exams.

  • Laura Hausmann, Financial Services Representative, United Savings CU
  • Liz Hindle, Member Service, LaPorte Community FCU
  • Katherine Karls, Branch Manager- Mortgage Specialist, Premier Financial CU
  • Heather Laake, Employer Partnerships Representative, MidAmerican CU
  • John McGregor, Senior Director-Retail Banking, Island FCU
  • Amy Price, Development Officer, Tuscaloosa CU
  • Cheryl Scott, Manager-Risk Mitigation, Deer Valley CU
  • James Smith, Branch Manager, First Northern CU
  • Michelle Spears, Loan Officer, Eastex FCU
  • Linda Stanton, President/CEO, Union Pacific of Arkansas FCU

Recertification designees are:

  • Diane Kennedy, Supervisory Committee, Midwest America FCU
  • Linda Lambert, Senior Loan Officer, Class Act FCU
