Cornerstone Credit Union League's service corporation Credit Union Resources, Inc. has partnered with the National Credit Union Information Sharing & Analysis Organization (NCU-ISAO) to help credit unions prepare for and combat cyber threats and fraud.
The NCU-ISAO is made up of credit unions, credit union service organizations, and leagues. The organization works to enable and sustain credit union cyber resilience and advance security coordination and collaboration to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from threats and vulnerabilities.
"We are excited to partner with the NCU-ISAO," said Credit Union Resources IT Consulting Vice President Idrees Rafiq, Jr. "By collaborating with this forward-thinking organization, we will give credit unions in the Cornerstone region an avenue to share and digest critical information, increasing our fraud prevention posture and defending against threat actors."
As part of the agreement, the NCU-ISAO’s services will be offered as part of Credit Union Resources Information Security, Compliance & Consulting, and Cornerstone members will receive discounted rates. The NCU-ISAO focuses on credit union-specific issues in cyber and fraud threats, operational risk, and regulatory compliance.
“Threat sharing and collaboration is one of the most effective tools in our cyber arsenal,” said NCU-ISAO Executive Director Gene Fredriksen. “It is only through the effective use of cyber intelligence that we can continuously tune our defenses to shut down emerging attacks and exploits. This partnership will increase the footprint of those using and contributing to the combined intelligence systems, yielding a stronger defensive stance for all members."
