CU Benefits Alliance Hires Senior Client Manager, EVP/Chief Strategy Office

SALEM, OR (APRIL 4, 2013) — The Credit Union Benefits Alliance, a newly launched company that provides customized insurance and wellness programs, recently hired Sherry Campbell as senior client manager and John Wallace as EVP.

CU Benefits Alliance, a multi-credit-union-owned CUSO (Credit Union Service Organization) is working with credit unions around the country to provide solutions necessary to make employee benefits plans more affordable and more effective.The program has been created in conjunction with major insurance carriers serving credit union employees and their family members and is available to credit unions with 51 or more employees in most states.

In her role as senior client manager, Campbell is responsible for account retention and client management. She brings to CU Benefits Alliance more than 16 years of industry experience, which includes managing fully insured and self-insured medical business, extensive life and disability contract work, as well as HSA, HRA, and FSA implementation and management. Campbell has worked with clients on realization and creation of voluntary and worksite product offerings. Her diverse experience provides clients with full spectrum consultation ranging from self-insured medical plans with pharmacy management and stop loss to disability and medical leave integration. CU Benefits Alliance CEO John Harris says, “Campbell blends her expertise and knowledge of benefit programs with a proactive approach that provides clients with executed results. Campbell earned her bachelor’s of science degree in political science from Portland State University with a minor in English literature. In her spare time, Campbell enjoys spending time with her family, including her two young girls. Her hobbies include, golf, running, and coaching her daughter’s basketball team.

In his role as EVP and chief strategy officer, Wallace is responsible for account retention and client management. Wallace has 22 years of group health insurance industry and consulting experience. He graduated from the School of Business Administration at Portland State University and has primarily worked with multi-location, multi-state self-insured mid-market employers. He specializes in strategic work with clients to assess risk and manage ongoing health care costs.

Harris says, “John will be a huge asset to our clients. His experience spans a variety of industries in many U.S. markets, and he will bring that range of knowledge to each credit union he serves.”
