CU*Answers introduces two new analytical tools

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (September 16, 2013) — CU*Answers, the West Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, is proud to announce the addition of two new analytical tools to its Member Tiered Services Program for the core platform, CU*BASE®. As an integrated part of the platform, CU*Answers has been offering the ability for its credit unions to tier their members into groups for years. The function scores and rewards members based on how they are interacting with the credit union—having multiple products such as loans, savings accounts, IRAs, and also services such as home banking, mobile banking, audio banking). Members are also scored by the cumulative balances kept in accounts. Members are encouraged to increase their participation via online banking, increasing their exposure to the credit union.

Now CU*Answers is adding two more analytical tools to its Learn from a Peer analysis program. The first tool allows users of CU*BASE to compare statistics of its credit union’s Tiered Services program side by side with statistics of other credit union’s programs. The goal of the tool is to help credit unions locate the network partners with the best product and service deployment and make it easy to contact them to share tips and best practices. The second tool allows staff to compare configuration of their Tiered Services program, including levels and points given, side by side with configurations of other credit unions on the CU*BASE platform.

“No other data processor helps credit unions not just collaborate, but cooperate on this level,” said Scott Page, EVP of CU*Answers. “All too often we see collaboration as a lot of speaking and promises, with very little action behind it. As a cooperative, we help credit unions succeed by not reinventing the wheel; but by being able to share information amongst their peers and to be able to see what works for other credit unions at the push of a button.”
