CUES adds second week to CEO Institute Program to meet unprecedented demand

MADISON, WI (March 4, 2014)—The Credit Union Executives Society is excited to announce that for the first time in the history of their CEO Institute program, a second week is being added in 2014 to accommodate the growing industry need for graduate-level education.

“In record time, 192 credit union professionals enrolled in this year’s CEO Institute, bringing it quickly to capacity,” said Chuck Fagan, CUES’ president/CEO. “When our wait list for next year’s program also surpassed capacity, CUES worked with our university contacts to create an extra class for all three weeks of the program over the next three years.”

CUES has added a second CEO Institute I: Strategic Planning class to attend The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, August 17-22, 2014. This class will continue on together to CEO Institute II: Organizational Effectiveness, Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., August 8-14, 2015; and CEO Institute III: Strategic Leadership Development, Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va., late in the summer of 2016.

“As the demand for the skills CEO Institute develops increases,” said Fagan, “so too will CUES’ efforts to help all credit union professionals realize their full potential.”

CEO Institute is CUES’s flagship program. Since 1995, 863 credit union executives have completed the three program segments.

Executives who complete all three years of the CEO Institute program and two post-segment projects earn their Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation.

To register for the August 2014 class of CEO Institute I, be added to the call list for 2015, or for more information about the CEO Institute program, contact Kristin Ryan, CUES’ executive education and meetings manager, at 800.252.2664 or 608.271.2664, ext. 308, or kristin@cues.org.
