MADISON, Wis.—The Credit Union Executives Society is pleased to announce the winners of three partial scholarships for its 2011 CEO Institute program:

●            Darlene Brown, EVP/CFO, St. Vrain Valley Credit Union, Longmont, Colo.

●            Timothy L. Lineberry, CEO/General Manager, GUCO Credit Union, Greenville, N.C.

●            Erick Orellana, CEO, Nikkei Credit Union, Gardena, Calif.

The partial scholarships cover one-third of the registration fee for all three years of the institute. Active CUES members who are full-time paid credit union executives committed to attending the entire program are eligible to apply.

“CUES is excited to help these credit union leaders gain a solid education and enhance their leadership skills,” said Frederick D. Healey, chairman, CUES’ board of directors. “The benefits of this program will pay dividends in both their professional and personal lives.”

CEO Institute is a challenging academic and leadership program tailored specifically for credit union executives. It is held over three years at three of the nation’s most respected business schools:

●            The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia

●            Johnson at Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.

●            Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va.

Since 1995, 760 credit union executives have completed the CEO Institute program. Executives who complete all three years and two post-segment projects receive the prestigious Certified Chief Executives (CCE) designation. To date, 382 industry leaders have earned their CCE.
