One hundred credit union volunteers are enrolled in CUES Director Development Seminar, bringing the numbers for this event to capacity and demonstrating that credit unions are continuing to invest in education and training.

*We feel the increase in meeting numbers represent *green shoots* for the

movement,* said Fred Johnson, Credit Union Executives Society president/CEO.

*Additionally, we*ve found this size group is the perfect size in creating a collaborative atmosphere, and encouraging thought-provoking discussions. So we*ve capped attendance for the benefit of attendees. They will be able to network effectively, make the most of the event and experience more time with their peers.*

In addition to networking, volunteers gather at this high-energy event to discuss governance models and ways to cultivate a positive, cooperative relationship between the board and CEO.

Another CUES event experiencing record enrollment numbers is Execu/Net 2010, which kicked off on Sunday.  Now in its third year, credit union executives gather at this popular conference to discuss ways to adapt to the industry*s rapid changes.  Execu/Net will return to Big Sky, Mont. in 2011.
