CUES recognizes 2015 CEO Institute Graduates

MADISON, WI (May 21, 2015) — CUES is pleased to recognize 73 credit union executives who recently completed all three years of its prestigious executive education program, CEO Institute. In addition, 39 of the graduates earned their Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation, signifying their ongoing commitment to professional development. They join the ranks of 547 credit union leaders who have also obtained their CCE, and who are recognized throughout the credit union movement as having established a standard of educational excellence.

This three-part graduate-level program takes participants through the full spectrum of leadership preparation. Each of the intensive, week-long programs is held at a renowned business school: CEO Institute I: Strategic Planning at the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, Philadelphia; CEO Institute II: Organizational Effectiveness at Cornell University, Johnson Graduate School of Management, Ithaca, N.Y.; and CEO Institute III: Strategic Leadership Development at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business, Charlottesville, Va.

“I have had the opportunity to pursue several industry leadership training programs during my career, and CUES’ CEO Institute stands out amongst all the others,” said J. Kevin Ryan, CCE, president and CEO, Financial Center First Credit Union, Indianapolis. “The course content, quality of the universities, and the caliber of professors is outstanding. It is the highest quality leadership training available for credit union executives.”

“Graduates of CEO Institute leave ready to fulfill the needs of their credit unions, backed by the unique perspective of three of the best business schools,” said Dawn Poker, interim CEO/SVP/chief sales & member relations officer. “In fact, a recent survey conducted by Emotus Operandi and CUES found that 94% of those who attend the CEO Institute program received a promotion.”

Due to high demand, CUES added CEO Institute summer sessions to its line up.
