CUInsight is thrilled to announce it has named Jackson Bolstad to the position of Community Manager.
In his role, Bolstad will work across all functions of CUInsight to build a stronger credit union community by collaborating with current and new CUInsight contributors to maximize their thought leadership content with the trade publication.
“The CUInsight team is growing, and it’s with delight that we announce Jackson Bolstad as the newest member of the team,” said CUInsight Publisher & CEO Lauren Culp. “Jackson brings a strong background in credit unions and media, combined with a contagious energy and passion for storytelling that make him the perfect fit for this role.”
Part of the credit union movement since 2015, Bolstad was previously on the team at Black Hill Federal Credit Union in Rapid City, SD. There, he managed the $1.4 billion credit union’s integrated media, communications, and marketing efforts across digital, social, and print platforms. Prior to that role, he worked as a reporter for the Rapid City Journal where he wrote and produced content for the 20,000-circulation daily newspaper, as well as provided digital and social media support.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside and learn from Lauren, Randy and the team at CUInsight, in addition to the dynamic contributor community that continues to make CUInsight the place for all things credit union,” Bolstad said. “In this role, I’m looking forward to engaging with CUInsight’s community of thought-leaders and industry professionals to assist them in developing and sharing the important stories and perspectives that are helping to drive the credit union movement forward.”
Bolstad is widely recognized in his community and the credit union industry as an outstanding professional. In 2019, Bolstad was recognized as the Rapid City Chamber Young Professional of the Year. Prior to that, he was named the 2018 Special Olympics South Dakota Volunteer of the Year.
Bolstad was also awarded the honor of joining Crash the GAC 2017 as a South Dakota representative, where he networked with credit union industry leaders and peers from across the country at the CUNA Governmental affairs conference in Washington, D.C. and hiked the hill to advocate for credit unions to legislators.
Bolstad received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Montana - Missoula. Bolstad is also an advocate for community engagement and volunteerism. He currently serves with the Rapid City Police Activities League in his community, as well as with Special Olympics South Dakota.
CUInsight engaged Humanidei to complete their search for this critical role. Understanding demographic and psychographic shifts that contribute to the complexity of winning the war for talent, Humanidei worked with CUInsight to architect its ideal job description and conduct the national search while articulating the organization’s bigger purpose.
