CUNA announces new CUNA Credit Union Investment School and accompanying designation

MADISON, WI (April 30, 2015) — Credit union professionals will master investments at the new CUNA Investment Certification Schools in Phoenix, October 18-23, 2015.

Held for the first time in 2015, CUNA Investment Certification Schools will strengthen attendees’ investment management skills and improve their credit unions’ processes and operations by guiding investment strategy.

“There isn’t much available in the way of credit union-specific investment training,” says James Carrick, vice president of learning events. “CUNA Investment Certification Schools fill that void and ensure credit union professionals understand the unique factors affecting their institutions’ investment strategies.”

This event is presented in collaboration with The Rochdale Group, Inc., CUNA Mutual Group and Performance Trust Capital Partners, LLC. Led by industry experts with advanced knowledge of NCUA regulations and system partners, the program utilizes a five-step approach to investments to help attendees interact with brokers, make smart risk/reward decisions and develop a strong investment portfolio.

The school is available in two sessions (Fundamentals and Advanced), each providing a unique lens to investments. Plus, upon completing both the fundamentals and advanced programs, and passing all required exams, attendees will be able to earn their Credit Union Investments Expert (CUIE) designation.
