Madison, WI (June 5, 2012) –School information and registration is now available for the upcoming Young Adult Boot Camp, taking place September 12-13 in Charlotte, NC. For more information and to register, visit training.cuna.org/yabc.

At the Young Adult Boot Camp credit union professionals will explore strategies to reach out to today’s young adult market and develop action plans for implementing a concrete strategy to grow their credit union’s young adult base. Expert speaker Brent Dixon will be in attendance to lay out the needs and concerns of today’s young adult consumer and detail the products, services and recruiting strategies credit union professionals can use to attract young potential members. The combination of Brent’s insights and the 10 years of Filene Research Institute’s research will help credit union professionals create a plausible action plan for implementing a young adult strategy.

The Young Adult Boot Camp features sessions designed to help credit union professionals understand and serve the next generation of credit union members. Topics include:

  • Social media and online search advertising
  • Young adult transaction accounts
  • Young adult lending
  • Advisory directors and volunteers
  • Young adult branches and e-delivery
  • Young adult financial behavior and decision making
  • And more

“On the whole, the youth market is a low-risk, highly-profitable market,” said Meghann Dawson, Manager of Instructional Design at CUNA. “Reaching out to this group effectively is not only sound marketing practice but an essential strategy in ensuring your credit union stays profitable in the coming years ahead. Our Young Adult Boot Camp will give credit unions professionals the knowledge needed to understand what motivates today’s younger generation and the skills needed to serve them well.”

This event is limited to the first 25 credit unions that register. Each credit union that registers may bring up to four attendees. For more information about the Young Adult Boot Camp and to register, visit training.cuna.org/yabc.
