CUNA CFO Council to honor accomplished finance professionals at upcoming conference

WASHINGTON, DC (February 8, 2016) — CUNA CFO Council is now accepting submissions for the 2016 CUNA CFO Council Awards. Presented live at the CUNA CFO Council Conference, May 15-18, 2016 at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, the awards recognize the accomplishments of outstanding credit union finance professionals.

“Despite incredible economic adversity, finance professionals ensure the solvency and prosperity of their credit unions year after year,” says Suzanne Weinstein, CUNA CFO Council Chair. “With these awards, we honor the incredible drive, intelligence and vision finance professionals bring to our movement as well as their tireless commitment to serving members.”

Two award categories will be presented at the conference. The CFO Professional of the Year Award recognizes an individual who exemplifies excellence in credit union financial management, advances the cooperative ideals of the credit union movement and makes a difference on behalf of members. Nominations for this award are due March 1, 2016.

The Excellence in Finance Awards celebrate credit unions that reveal new possibilities in the finance field by finding innovative, effective solutions for specific challenges. The awards recognize achievement in a variety of practices, including board education, credit risk management, financial literacy, and IRR management.
