Madison, Wis. – In challenging economic times, credit union marketing professionals need to know how to produce more with less. To help them achieve this, CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council (CMBDC) has tapped Libby Gill, Executive Coach, Brand Strategist and Author to be the keynote speaker at the 2011 CMBDC Conference, March 16-19, in Las Vegas.

Ms. Gill, whose clients include Dr. Phil, Accenture and others, promises to set the tone for the two and half day conference with her high-energy, keynote presentation – including her lively audience participation game “Name That Brand” – Gill will share five key strategies for creating a powerful brand that doesn’t just get noticed, but creates mindshare. Because the products of mindshare—trust and loyalty—fuel market share growth.

“In the current tight economy, it is critical for credit unions to continue to increase their market share while keeping costs low. And that is truly a challenge.,” said Anne Legg, chair of the CMBDC and vice president of marketing for Cabrillo CU in San Diego, Calif. “Gill’s session should inspire and re-energize attendees while the remaining conference sessions should provide them with actionable innovative resources they can take back to their credit union and implement, immediately.”

18th annual conference sessions include:

Þ     Creative strategies in challenging times;

Þ     Strategies for penetrating a crowded market;

Þ     Building member relationships online;

Þ     Effective social media;

Þ     Industry update; and

Þ     Two Pre-conference workshops (additional fee required) – a full day on marketing plans, and a half day session on the 6P© process of turning innovation into action.

A recognition dinner and award presentations for the prestigious Marketing Professional of the Year, Business Development Professional of the Year, and Diamond/Merit award winners will take place Friday evening. Best Practice Award winners will also be announced during the conference.
