MADISON, WI (August 21, 2013) — A powerful lineup of speakers will highlight CUNA Mutual Group’s one-day, complimentary Symposium on credit union member centricity, Sept. 24, in Tampa, Fla.

Headlining the free event open to credit unions, “Battle for the American Consumer: A Symposium on Member Centricity,” is Don Peppers, one of the world’s leading authorities on customer centric strategies.  An author of several books on the topic, Peppers has been recognized by the Times of London as one of its “Top 50 Business Brains” and on Accenture’s list of the “Top 50 Business Intellectuals.”

“Our one-day Symposium will feature some of the best and brightest minds in business world on winning the battle for consumers over other financial institutions,” said host Jon Lass, SVP, Strategy and Business Development, CUNA Mutual Group. “This event will provide great insights on how credit unions can gain member centricity, and it will be delivered in just one day.”

Also presenting at the daylong event is Michelle Eten, vice president of Digital Marketing at REI. The largest consumer cooperative in the world, REI has built a hugely successful customer centric retail model while remaining true to its cooperative roots.

Lass will speak on how credit unions can win the battle for their members’ business. Dorothy Leaderer and Jennifer Norr of CUNA Mutual Group’s Customer Operations unit will present a workshop on measuring the customer experience and using that data to become more member centric.
