The Credit Union Trends Report is a monthly "pulse check" on the state of the credit union marketplace, often placed in a historical context. The report includes data from two months prior and is published and distributed by Steven Rick from CUNA Mutual Group.
December Report Highlights (October data):
- Credit union loan balances rose 0.6% in October, the same as the 0.6% pace reported in October 2018.
- Credit union new auto loan balances fell 0.7% in October, slower than the 0.7% gain set in October 2018, and increased only 0.9% during the last year.
- Savings balances grew at an 9.7% seasonally-adjusted annualized growth rate in October, above the 5.8% reported one year earlier.
