CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council White Paper Discusses Alternative Sources of Revenue

Madison, WI – The economic landscape has improved somewhat since the Great Recession—but not as much as predicted or hoped—margins are still thin and while some of the providers have left the market, notably in the mortgage area, others have moved in.

In response, the CUNA’s Operations, Sales & Service Council has released a new white paper titled, “Alternative Revenue Sources: An Engine for Sales & Service Growth” that seeks to give chief operating officers a number of revenue sources that are worth consideration.

The paper presents several ideas for revisiting traditional revenue sources with a fresh approach and adding innovative revenue methods to help ailing margins.  A wide array of credit unions from across the country contributed their expertise about how to readily seek revenue sources.  Ultimately, each source is not only a revenue opportunity, but is also an opportunity for credit unions to be an engine for growth and development within their local communities.
