CUNA’s web-based training service launches enhancements

MADISON, WI (December 8, 2014) – Credit Union National Association (CUNA) announced that the upgrade to CUNA Professional Development Online (CPD Online) learning management system for its premier web-based credit union training service is live today. The enhancements include a new look and feel to the learning management system along with a number of new features for both students and managers.

“As an advisory board member, I really appreciate CUNA’s approach to investing in CPD Online,” said Timothy Shore, training manager for Seasons FCU in CT. “CPD Online users were the voice driving the improvements and direction of this upgrade. CPD Online has been such a great asset to credit unions for the last 15 years, and I look forward to this next phase of credit union professional development.“

CPD Online is a web-based training service developed to build the job-specific skills of credit union staff. It offers users an interactive environment with credit union-specific courses, each developed by credit union practitioners. In upgrading its version of SumTotal’s award-winning learning management system, CUNA aims to make training with those courses a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.

“We’re looking to drive higher-impact training by enhancing CPD Online’s usability, look and features,” said Marlo Foltz, VP of Blended Learning. “We are investing in this learning management system upgrade and brand refresh because we see the value it will bring to training for both newcomers and experienced users of CPD Online.”

The upgrade’s key enhancements include:

  • More learner-focused navigation options
  • Faster access for managers
  • Additional tools for administrators

Please note: Current CPD Online users’ Student IDs and passwords will remain the same and all existing reports are still available.
