CU*SOUTH promotes James Versaw to vice president of client experience
FAIRHOPE, AL (July 12, 2021) — CU*SOUTH is pleased to announce the promotion of James Versaw to the position of Vice President of Client Experience. A new position for the CUSO, Versaw will now lead CU*SOUTH credit union partners through their onboarding process, as well as oversee their ongoing support, training, and relationship development functions – the complete Client Experience.
Joining in 2018, Versaw’s initial responsibilities were to take the lead in analyzing and renovating CU*SOUTH’s credit union conversion functions. “Not only did James renovate our conversion functions,” says Chief Operating Officer, Derrick Smith, “he reimaged and reinvented the processes – delivering a new team and presence branded Client Development.” “Reaching beyond simply the successful onboarding of clients to our core,” Smith continues, “James and his team have gone farther, helping our clients to continue to capitalize on the power of our CUSO through innovations such as Gold Advantage and our many Ancillary Services opportunities.”
Versaw made the transition from a math teacher career to the credit union movement in 2011 when he joined the team at Honor Credit Union, a cuasterisk partner in the CU*Answers family of credit unions. There Versaw honed his analytical skills, helped merger projects and training, and became a go-to for all things core-related.
