Dates announced for 2015 CUNA Marketing Management School in New Orleans

MADISON, WI (December 4, 2014) – CUNA announced today that registration is now open for CUNA Marketing Management School, May 31-June 5, 2015 in New Orleans, LA. Produced by CUNA Center for Professional Development and endorsed by the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council, CUNA Marketing Management School instills the key skills, knowledge and enthusiasm necessary for credit union marketers to thrive in today’s rapidly changing environment. Attendees will participate in sessions led by marketing and industry experts that will enable them to maximize their credit union’s marketing potential.

“CUNA Marketing Management School was a great experience from beginning to end,” says Lauren Robinson, CUCME, Marketing Manager for NMTW Community Credit Union and CUNA Marketing Management School graduate. “It provides the ability to get together with a group of your peers whom you can network with and learn from, as well connecting you with instructors who facilitate thought-provoking discussions. I’ve taken back real-world practical applications that I’ve used at my credit union.”

Attendees can immediately apply what they learn to their efforts at their credit union. Once attendees have completed the entire program, they’ll have the opportunity to further increase their professional value and their credit union’s overall potential through the Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive (CUCME) designation. Developed in partnership with the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council, attendees must pass a comprehensive exam at the end of each year to become certified.

Each year of this three-part program develops unique competencies toward becoming a well-rounded marketing expert:

  • CUNA Marketing Management School: Year 1

Building brand momentum, taking the lead on brand strategy, engaging members, budgeting and marketing in the digital age.

  • CUNA Marketing Management School: Year 2

Producing effective copy, generational marketing, utilizing social media and driving consumer behavior.

  • CUNA Marketing Management School: Year 3

Developing marketing strategies, marketing leadership, achieving elite results, creating innovative credit union offerings and analyzing market research.

There will also be a CUNA Marketing Compliance Pre-conference Workshop, March 30, during which attendees will identify and break down recent compliance changes relevant to credit union marketing departments.
