DEI supports local families with needed supplies

Employees donate time, effort and materials for 100 backpacks

Cincinnati, Ohio—DEI, a leading design/build company specializing in banks and credit unions nationally, announced today the recent efforts of its employee team to address the needs of local families through the donation of supply-filled backpacks.

With the company headquartered in Cincinnati since its inception in 1985, the local community is at the heart of the DEI team as staff live, work, shop and recreate in the area. A strong sense of community informs DEI’s building designs, renovations, and client projects.

Recently, DEI organized a community support initiative that identified key needs for two prominent local organizations:

  • Focus on Youth Child Services
  • West Chester Police Department

DEI purchased supplies to fill over 100 backpacks, and the employee team packaged the materials, filled the bags, and delivered the completed backpacks to the local organizations to support their community outreach efforts—truly people helping people. For the past several years now, DEI has donated backpacks to various recipients in the community. Last year they donated them to Cincinnati Public Schools.

“DEI is excited to support two essential local organizations in the great and vital work they do in meeting our community’s needs. The backpacks distributed will help 100 local families and provide a ready-made solution to everyday items they need,” says Richard Grow, DEI’s president and owner.

Grow added, “When we design a building for a client, it reflects aspects of their local community ties. Doing the same in our local community with initiatives like this is the basis for our work. Having operated in Cincinnati for 36 years, we have completed over 100 community projects. Our employee team loves to give back and see the positive impact locally.”
