Elevations Credit Union grows Mortgage Team in Denver
Commercial Lending Team hires two, and vendor management focus added to Senior Leadership Team
BOULDER, CO (December 10, 2020) — Elevations Credit Union announces the addition of three Mortgage Loan Officers to its team in Denver: Mike Bell, Keri Bills and John Wetzig. In addition, Jason Barnes and Douglas Thormahlen have joined the Commercial Lending Team, and Gary Kindle has taken on a new role on the Senior Leadership Team as Senior Vice President of Vendor Management.
Bell, Bills and Wetzig will all be based at the Elevations Denver Mortgage Office, located at 7900 E. Union Ave., Suite 250. The Denver location opened this summer, and its six Mortgage Loan Officers are available to meet by appointment.

Bell has worked in the mortgage industry since 2014, drawing on prior experience in the title insurance industry and in the real estate industry as a licensed Realtor®. He has also worked with private residential builders, making him a knowledgeable resource for new construction. Bell strives to offer concierge mortgage services tailored to all parties involved in mortgage transactions.
A Colorado resident for over 20 years, Bills has distinguished herself in the mortgage industry by building relationships. She is passionate about hosting first-time homebuyer workshops, but she is proudest of helping repeat buyers purchase their next home, and being trusted by second and third generation family members as their mortgage lender. She’s ready to help with any purchase or refinance, drawing on her knowledge of FHA and VA loans, first-time homebuyer programs and all conventional loans.
With over 31 years of mortgage experience, Wetzig takes pride in helping his members find the right mortgage solutions for their needs from a wide variety of products and programs. Over his extensive career, he has helped homebuyers achieve their dreams while growing long-lasting relationships.
On the Commercial Lending Team, Jason Barnes has joined as Commercial Loan Officer at the Fort Collins Midtown Branch, while Douglas Thormahlen was hired as Senior Commercial Loan Officer based out of the Denver location at 7900 E. Union Ave., Suite 250.

Barnes has over 14 years of experience providing financial solutions along the Front Range. He’s committed to helping Northern Colorado businesses overcome challenges and find opportunities to achieve long-term goals. Barnes’ extensive lending background includes commercial and investment real estate, business acquisition and expansion, and working capital solutions.
Having previously been a small business owner, Thormahlen understands the challenges that business owners face, and he believes in developing strong, long-term working relationships with his members. Thormahlen draws on 34 years of experience in the banking and finance industry, including commercial lending, real estate lending, construction lending, consumer lending and insurance.
On the Senior Leadership Team, Gary Kindle will lead vendor management and business continuity for the credit union as SVP of Vendor Management. Kindle will utilize his extensive operations experience to effectively manage the credit union’s most critical vendors and suppliers.
