Elevations Credit Union, a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution serving Colorado’s Front Range, is pleased to announce it is one of the first ever winners of a Colorado REALTOR® Diversity & Inclusion Award. This honor is presented to community partners state-wide by the Colorado Association of Realtors® (CAR).
“As Colorado’s number one credit union residential mortgage lender, it is our honor to leverage our influence to effect positive change within the real estate industry - an industry that impacts the quality of life and financial wellness of all Coloradans,” said Gerry Agnes, President & CEO of Elevations Credit Union.
The CAR’s Diversity & Inclusion Chair, Natalie Davis, presented the award to Elevations Credit Union Mortgage Loan Officer, David Armstrong, at a ceremony in October during CAR’s 100 Year Celebration, Conference & Expo. Davis spearheaded the launch of the Colorado REALTOR® Diversity & Inclusion Awards in 2021 to celebrate groups and individuals who strive to support every individual and community within the real estate industry.
The specific honor recognizes organizations such as title insurance companies, lending companies and financial institutions for their outstanding work to further diversity and inclusion within the real estate industry.
“Elevations has been on a journey to create and promote a safe and inclusive environment where people feel welcomed, valued, respected, and heard,” said Elevations Credit Union’s Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Ashley Wilson. “For us, this work is not about a program or an initiative, but rather ensuring that Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion is a part of who we are and how we do business. DE&I is a part of Elevations’ DNA. We are grateful to have the opportunity to share our journey and honored to be recognized for the work we have done thus far.”
“Elevations Credit Union is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion for its 600+ employees and its members across Colorado,” continued Wilson. “Since 2018, we’ve been working diligently to realize an ambitious strategic plan to embed DEI into everything that we do so that Colorado is a place where everyone thrives.”
