Empower Federal Credit Union announces merger with Horizons Federal Credit Union
SYRACUSE, NY (August 26, 2021) — The Board of Directors of Empower Federal Credit Union and the Board of Directors of Horizons Federal Credit Union, announce merger approval. Effective October 1, 2021 the signage at the four current Horizon locations and the one Empower location in the Southern Tier will change and be known as “Horizons a Division of Empower Federal Credit Union”.
The merger of Empower and Horizons Federal Credit Unions will join two institutions that share a strong commitment to their membership and community. Most importantly, this merger will offer expanded services to Horizons FCU members and expanded branch and ATM access to Empower FCU members.
