Empower Federal Credit Union promotes two employees to vice president
SYRACUSE, NY (February 8, 2021) —
Empower Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotions of Pete Thomson and Mike Dunne to Vice President. Empower serves over 200,000 members in Central New York and surrounding counties and has over 24 branch locations.
Pete Thomson has been named Vice President, Commercial Credit Officer in the Business Lending Department of Empower. A graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, with a B.S. in Business Administration, Pete has over 30 years of banking experience including 13 years in Commercial Lending to businesses in NYS. He also has been active in community initiatives involving commercial redevelopment of inner-city neighborhoods and leadership in youth sports organizations.
Mike Dunne has been named Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer in the Business Lending Department of Empower. Mike graduated from Siena College, with a Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting, and has over 30 years of Commercial Lending experience. Mike is also a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, having served five tours of duty in Desert Storm, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq (2) .
