Filene joins forces with CUES to bring strong strategic innovation institute to industry

MADISON, WI (August 6, 2014) — CUES is pleased to announce Filene Research Institute is lending its expertise to attendees of the first-ever CUES’ Strategic Innovation Institute™.

Filene will utilize its innovation method to keep this September’s inaugural class engaged and connected throughout the year between the institute’s two sessions. Filene will also provide coaching to those who wish to take advantage of it.

“Filene and CUES have both built their brands around supporting the advancement of credit unions,” said Chuck Fagan, CUES president/CEO. “Filene’s innovation method will help us create continuity between the two segments of Strategic Innovation Institute. This is similar to the experience students of our CEO Institute program have; they keep connected throughout the three years of CEO Institute, creating a strong network they often maintain long after they graduate.”

Filene CEO Mark Meyer is among the 55 currently registered to attend the sold out Strategic Innovation Institute™ I, hosted at MIT Sloan School of Management.

“Filene conducts thoughtful analysis about issues affecting the future of consumer finance and credit unions; CUES’ focus is on developing credit union CEO’s, boards, and future leaders,” Meyer said. “We’re excited to join forces with CUES on making Strategic Innovation Institute an exceptional experience for those in the industry.”

Strategic Innovation Institute I offers an integrated curriculum of strategy, innovation, technology, and leadership. Strategic Innovation Institute™ II will start in fall 2015 at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford, Calif. This session will explore how to scale innovation, and provides attendees with the opportunity to explore ideation and design solutions to solve common consumer challenges.

Executives who complete both weeks of Strategic Innovation Institute and the between-segment assignment will earn the Certified Innovation Executive (CIE) designation.

CUES’ popular CEO Institute program has produced 650 graduates; of those, 525 have earned the prestigious Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation. Filene has worked with 175 credit union leaders through their i3 program. These talented groups are made up of many of today’s industry leaders as well as the future of credit unions.
