Finance professionals strengthen strategies and solutions at CUNA CFO Council Conference

WASHINGTON, DC (January 28, 2016) — CUNA CFO Council has announced that the 22nd Annual CUNA CFO Council Conference will be held at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, May 15-18, 2016. Gathering hundreds of credit union professionals and executives each year, the conference hosts idea-driven sessions led by visionary speakers and thought-leaders in the field of credit union finance.

“Facing a volatile, ever-changing economy, credit unions need a strong, proactive financial approach now more than ever,” says Suzanne Weinstein, CUNA CFO Council Chair, executive committee member of the CUNA CFO Council. “This event offers insights, strategies and forecasts that will allow finance professionals to create a new fiscal reality for their credit union.”

Former Navy Cmdr. Mike Abrashoff will deliver the keynote address at the conference, entitled “It’s Your Ship-Putting the Leadership Roadmap to Work.” Abrashoff will offer an inspiring model for executive leadership based on his experience as commander of the USS Benfold. Former Hard Rock International executive Jim Knight will give the closing address, outlining how credit unions can revitalize their corporate culture in his presentation, “Culture that Rocks.”

In addition to the plethora of sessions, attendees will be able to network and discuss issues with fellow finance professionals throughout the conference. CUNA CFO Council will also host their annual awards ceremony live from the conference main stage.
