Financial Health FCU donates Biz Kid$ box set to Riley Hospital

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 24, 2014) — Financial Health FCU is helping to enhance the financial education opportunities for patients and families at Riley Hospital. The credit union donated a boxed set of DVDs containing five seasons of the TV program Biz Kid$.

Biz Kid$ is the Emmy Award-winning and credit union-funded public television series that teaches kids about money management and entrepreneurship, and thanks to the credit union, the hospital will have a box set of Biz Kid$ DVDs for patients and families to enjoy.

“We are pleased to be able to share this fun business-based programming with patients and their families,” said CEO Chris Wardrip, who presented the DVDs. “There are 65 episodes that cover everything from entrepreneurship, careers, the value of money, financial markets, the global economy and more – all of which are directed at teen audiences.”

“The Riley Hospital School Program is glad to add this educational tool to its library,” said Riley School Program Teacher Jeff Wedding who accepted the DVDs on behalf of the hospital.

The donation was part of a nationwide effort between credit unions, Credit Unions for Kids, Statewide credit union foundations and the National Credit Union Foundation, all of whom partnered to enhance the financial education opportunities for patients and families at every Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) in the Country. All 170 CMN hospitals in the United States received donations from credit unions in their areas.
