Financial Plus Credit Union hosts blood drive through the American Red Cross

FLINT, MI (October 4, 2021) — Financial Plus Credit Union hosted the American Red Cross at its Main Office for its annual blood drive on September 24. Staff, Financial Plus members, and the general public were eligible to donate at the drive.

“Every year the blood drive inspires me. The amount of people willing to come together to help save the lives of people they don’t know is heartwarming. We had a great turnout as well. This year has been a challenge for many, and the blood drive helps demonstrate that our community has remained united and cares for one another,” said Kristen Brisbin, Public Relations and Social Media Specialist.

Overall, Financial Plus was able to collect 32 units of blood from 35 presenting donors at the drive. Each pint of donated blood can save up to 3 lives. This equates to a grand total of 96 potential lives that will be saved from the efforts of the community, Financial Plus, and the American Red Cross.
