First Commerce Credit Union recently promoted Vice President of Risk Management Angela Terhune to Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. For more than 19 years, Terhune has been a key contributor to the strategic growth and direction of the credit union. In the first 15 years, she held positions in FCCU’s Accounting Department,
starting as an Accountant, then a Financial Analyst and ultimately rising to Assistant Controller. In 2018, she was promoted to serve as the first Director of the credit union’s newly created Risk Management Department. In 2021, she was promoted again to VP of Risk Management.

Under Terhune’s leadership, the Risk Management Department expanded to encompass many complex facets related to risk, including enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, cyber security, fraud prevention, quality assurance, business resumption planning, legal, and insurance.

“Angela has consistently proven her ability to lead teams in accomplishing the credit union’s strategic initiatives,” said First Commerce CEO Cecilia Homison. “I am confident her leadership at the executive level will ensure the credit union’s continued financial success as we provide best-in-class services to our more than 70,000 members across North Florida and South Georgia.”
