Former CUSO VP launches the Credit Union Consulting Group

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (April 17, 2015) — A former Vice President of Marketing at the now closed CUSO, result150, has launched a new, credit union only, digital strategy and services agency: The Credit Union Consulting Group.

The Credit Union Consulting Group was founded after Ryan Ruud’s work in bringing result150 to market and over the past two years in developing digital marketing and lead generation products for the credit union industry.

“There is a tremendous opportunity for credit unions to capture share of voice and wallet via digital channels,” Ruud says “but many credit unions struggle with resource constraints, strategic alignment and measurement methodology.”

The Credit Union Consulting Group offers strategy and services in both marketing and digital member experience for credit unions of all sizes, running the gamut from content, advertising and social media to analytics and conversion optimization.

“Our process is to partner with our credit unions and develop strategies that align with organizational strategic objectives, so digital makes sense and has a place in a credit union’s comprehensive plan,” says Ruud “With nearly 90% of purchase decisions across verticals being made before a consumer engages at a brick and mortar location, a strong digital experience from marketing through conversion is crucial to growth and relevance.”

Prior to his CUSO role, Ruud held marketing, communications and leadership roles at growing software and AdTech firms in Minneapolis and counseled multi-billion dollar financial services firm in the launch of their content marketing strategy.

A frequent speaker on topics of marketing, generations and technology Ryan is a guest lecturer at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, St. Paul and most recently gave a keynote at the Metropolitan Area Credit Union Management Association in Washington, DC.
