Frank Kim, Orange County’s Credit Union board member, receives lifetime achievement award from Orange County Business Council

This award honors those who have dedicated themselves to exceptional service and community impact

SANTA ANA, CA (February 28, 2024)Orange County’s Credit Union, a Santa Ana-based financial services provider with more than 130,000 Members, is proud to announce that Board Member Frank Kim was recently honored by the Orange County Business Council with a Lifetime Achievement Award. This honor was bestowed upon him during the council’s annual dinner, highlighting his substantial contributions and longstanding dedication to the financial industry and the community at large.

“Receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Orange County Business Council is a profound honor that I cherish deeply,” said Kim. “It represents not just my individual efforts, but the dedication and collaboration of countless individuals who strive for the betterment of our community. Serving on the Board of Orange County’s Credit Union has been a privilege, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our Members’ financial success. This award serves as a reminder of the importance of public service and inspires me to continue working towards a brighter future for Orange County.”

Kim has been a member of the Board of Orange County’s Credit Union since 2006. Kim brings the Board wide-ranging experience in budgeting, strategic planning, and managerial finance. He also has a long and distinguished record of public service to Orange County. In his role as county chief executive officer, he leads 23 departments and 18,000 employees in ensuring the region’s financial stability, vision, and core principles.

This honor coincides with Orange County’s Credit Union 85th anniversary celebration, a significant milestone marking eight and a half decades of providing simple banking—for people, not profit. The Credit Union offers a range of Member-focused financial services, including loans, credit cards, and checking accounts, with recent additions such as Access Checking and Plus Checking. Beyond financial services, Orange County’s Credit Union actively supports its community through volunteer programs, financial education workshops, and partnerships with charitable organizations.
