Garden Savings Federal Credit Union awards two book scholarships to members

PARSIPPANY, NJ (June 12, 2015) — Garden Savings Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey with branches in Dover, Newark and Maplewood, recently awarded two young members with book scholarships of $500 each. The two winners were Amy Vonder Haar of Great Meadows, NJ and Elizabeth Ocker of Parsippany, NJ. Ms. Vonder Haar was awarded an additional $1,000 by the New Jersey Credit Union League as one of the top scorers in the statewide credit union scholarship competition.

“We are very happy to be able to award these young people with our 2015 Scholarship Awards,” said Garden Savings President and CEO Lou Vetere. “While this is only a small amount toward the high costs of college tuition, we all know that every bit helps. We are committed to providing a resource for our young members throughout their college lives and beyond and we could not be more proud of our applicants and winners. I would like to personally wish both Amy and Elizabeth the utmost success as they embark on their collegiate journey.”
