Georgia United Foundation provides $12K playground to Camp Creek Elementary

The Gwinnett County School was named a 2019 School Crashers recipient and received a mini-crash grant

Georgia United Foundation is excited to provide a new playground structure for Camp Creek Elementary School’s Special Education class as part of their sixth annual School Crashers® program.  Prior to the new equipment installation, the preschool children, ages three to five, did not have a suitable playground area. With the new play structure, students can now interact and enjoy the outdoors.

“Thank you to Georgia United for helping us improve the outdoor play space for our youngest students. We are thrilled to be able to offer an improved, age appropriate structure that will allow our students to safely engage in active play during recess,” said Principal Valerie Robinett.

Georgia United Business Development Officer, Leigh Gant, stated, “It was our pleasure to work alongside the Gwinnett Public Schools and the Camp Creek Elementary School staff to install the new playground. We realize the importance of students being able to have fun outside of the classroom and hope the children enjoy their play space.”

Camp Creek Elementary, located at 958 Cole Drive in Lilburn, was selected as a 2019 School Crashers mini-crash recipient out of 300+ nominations across the state. With the help of volunteers, donors and sponsors, the playground equipment and landscaping were completed at the start of the new school year.
