Great Lakes Credit Union moves to new corporate facility

(February 18, 2015) — Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) has moved into a new 37,000 square foot building on a nine acre wooded lot located in Bannockburn, IL. This new building will be their “Corporate Headquarters” housing most of the back office support staff and includes a large state of the art training facility; exercise room and equipment for staff; five meeting rooms plus a Board Room; and, a fabulous lunch room with beautiful views of the ponds and woods.

President/CEO Vikki Kaiser said, “We have run out of office space in our current headquarters in North Chicago.  As we have expanded geographically in membership and added new products and services over the past few years the number of support staff has grown rapidly. We were to the point of converting our broom closets into offices. This new building will allow us to expand for many years!” Ms. Kaiser added, “Also, with the addition of five branches in the Southern Suburbs we needed a more central location for our employees to gather for credit union wide training and meetings.  We are very pleased our new Corporate Headquarters’ location which is close to the Tri-State toll way giving our employees a faster way to reach us if they are coming from our Southern branches”.

GLCU has 58,000 plus members and over $650 million in assets, now headquartered in Bannockburn, IL with branches in Antioch, Bolingbrook, Country Club Hills, Gurnee, Homewood, Naperville, North Chicago, Round Lake Beach, Waukegan, Willow Springs and Zion, IL.
