GTE Financial CEO to speak on inclusive leadership at NCUA’s DEI & Access Summit
TAMPA, FL (November 1, 2022) — Brian Best, President, and CEO of GTE Financial, one of Tampa Bay’s largest financial institutions, will speak at this year’s National Credit Union Administration’s (NCUA) DEI & Access Summit. Best will speak on how to be an inclusive leader and explain his journey of embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion at GTE.

GTE Financial officially launched its DEI Program in 2019. The credit union makes an effort to build a workforce that reflects the growth and diversity within the neighborhoods they serve. GTE’s commitment to DEI expands throughout Tampa Bay, specifically the Hispanic and Latino communities. 36% of GTE’s workforce is bilingual, and there is a Spanish-speaking team member at every Community Financial Center and department. GTE continues to invest in building experiences, products, services, education, and development activities that serve a diverse membership.
The Summit will include panel discussions with diversity, equity, and inclusion experts, fireside chats, roundtables, and keynote speakers. Session topics cover a wide range of DEI-related areas like how to build a successful DEI program, including programs for the LGBTQ+ and disability communities; cryptocurrency and the unbanked; digital access; and inclusive lending.
