MADISON, Wis.—The Credit Union Executives Society is pleased to announce that Joseph F. Hearn, CCE, president/CEO of $1 billion Dupaco Community Credit Union, Dubuque, Iowa, has accepted an appointment to serve on its board of directors.

“I’m so pleased Joe will be joining us. He’ll be a real asset not only to the CUES board, but to its members, as well,” said Lary B. McCants, CCD, CCE, chairman, CUES’ board of directors, and president/CEO, IBM Southeast Employees’ Federal Credit Union, Boca Raton, Fla.

Hearn will fill the remainder of the term left vacant by Frederick D. Healey, management development consultant at $868 million IBM Southeast Employees’ Federal Credit Union, Boca Raton, Fla., who recently resigned from the CUES board.

To assist in maintaining leadership continuity, the board has also appointed Healey to serve in an ad hoc position through the board’s February 2013 meeting.

“The board is most appreciative of Fred’s service over the past nine years, especially his year as chairman, and for agreeing to continue in an ad hoc capacity for two additional meetings as a transitional measure. At the same time, we welcome and look forward to the contributions of our newest director, Joe,” said McCants.
