Hiway Credit Union announced as presenting sponsor of largest holiday light show in Minnesota history
GLOW Holiday Festival features over 1 million lights and 100 ft. illuminated tree
ST. PAUL, MN (November 3, 2020) — Hiway Credit Union announced today that it is the presenting sponsor of GLOW: The Great Minnesota Holiday Get-Together. The inaugural festival will take place for 46 consecutive nights at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds beginning on November 19, 2020 and running through January 3, 2021.
GLOW is a one-mile drive-thru experience with a dozen seasonal scenes featuring over a million holiday lights, a 100-foot illuminated tree, icicle and art installations, a festive gingerbread house and other holiday-themed attractions. After the drive-thru experience, guests will have the opportunity to purchase a selection of Minnesota State Fair food favorites. With over 50 semi-trucks of lights, gear and props, GLOW is the largest holiday lights extravaganza in Minnesota history.

GLOW and Hiway Credit Union Give Back
“GLOW will not only celebrate Christmas but will honor and celebrate many diverse traditions and cultures of our state’s citizens,” continued Boden. “Hiway is committed to celebrating diversity, equity and inclusion both inside and outside of our organization, and we’re excited that GLOW will host several special cultural nights, including Amity Night, Latinx Night, Hanukkah Night, Indigenous Peoples Night and Kwanzaa Night.”
In addition, each night of GLOW benefits a community charity working to better our world during the season of giving. The Hiway Night is Saturday, November 21 when the Hiway Credit Union Foundation, which supports a number of community causes including teacher grants and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, will receive $2 from each ticket sold for that evening.
Other designated nights include Second Harvest Heartland, Urban Ventures, Outfront Minnesota, Angel Foundation, Autism Society of Minnesota, Emma Norton Services and National Independent Venue Association among many others.
In conjunction with GLOW, Hiway will introduce #HiwayHolidayHeroes, a program that will honor heroes in our community who spread holiday cheer in special and unsung ways. Additional details will be announced soon.
Tickets are now on sale to the general public. All tickets must be purchased online in advance at glowholiday.com/tickets or at hiway.org. Customers can use the access key “HIWAY” when they go to purchase their desired date and $2 from every ticket purchased will go to the Hiway Credit Union Foundation.
Entry is timed for every 15 minutes and the drive-thru experience takes approximately 40 minutes.

- Arctic Circle – featuring 200 icicles and a 100-foot illuminated tree
- Other stops include the Wagon Wheel Stage, Gingerbread House, and Peppermint Tower
- A surprise GLOW finale
- sELFie Plaza – an optional photo opportunity, perfect for holiday photo posing!
- State Fair Food Court – a chance to purchase some of your favorite Fair foods
