Hospice of Southern Illinois awarded over $1,600.00

CARBONDALE, IL (February 13, 2014)– “People Helping People” is a credit union philosophy taken seriously at SIU Credit Union. As SIU CU continues to show that they are invested in the community and giving back; every year SIU Credit Union selects two local charities to receive their Jeans Day Donation. Every Friday employees can wear jeans if they donate $2.00 to selected charities of the year. Last year, Hospice of Southern Illinois were one of the chosen to be the recipients of this year’s donations.

Hospice of Southern Illinois is a not-for-profit, free standing, and community-based hospice; offering Southern Illinois and St. Louis Metro-East communities a range of services for people of all ages at the end of life. They have been providing compassionate care to terminally ill patients and their families in their home or a home-like setting since 1981.
