Indiana Members Credit Union Recognizes National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
IMCU RAISES $525 FOR SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE®
(Indianapolis, IN) – Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), Central Indiana’s largest credit union, supported National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and designated Friday, October 5, 2012, as Breast Cancer Awareness Day for its employees.
IMCU’s CEO, Ron Collier, challenged employees to show their support for this cause by donating $5 to wear pink and jeans to work on Friday, October 5, 2012. As a result, 105 employees rose to the challenge and IMCU is now donating $525 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. “We are honored by this opportunity to give back and support this effort to bring awareness to the public about this disease,” said Ron Collier, CEO of IMCU. “Many employees at our organization have been touched by breast cancer personally or through a family member or friend, which is why it’s important to continue to support worthwhile causes such as, Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.”
